Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Queen City Bulldogs (Queen City, TX) and the visiting Winona Wildcats (Winona, TX), saw Queen City's basketball squad overcome Winona by a tally of 57-44.
With the victory, Queen City improves its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hooks (Hooks, TX) to confront the Hornets in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 11-0. Hooks won 53-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson (Jefferson, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 challenge, on Monday, December 18. Winona will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 61-48 non-league loss to Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX).
