Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Vernonia Loggers (Vernonia, OR), 62-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Western Christian upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Knappa (Astoria, OR) to play the Loggers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Loggers come into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Loggers play the Riverdale Mavericks (Portland, OR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Vernonia will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
