Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA), 57-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chico upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Corning (Corning, CA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Corning lost 56-33 in their recent non-league bout against Marysville (Marysville, CA)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Orland Trojans (Orland, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Las Plumas will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
