The Union Mine Diamondbacks basketball team scored 67 points and held the host McClatchy Lions to 52 in the Diamondbacks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Diamondbacks now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nevada Union for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Union Mine will battle a Miners team coming off a 24-23 non-league win over Bear River (Grass Valley, CA). The Miners record now stands at 9-2.

The Lions (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA). The Mustangs enter the contest with a 5-7 record.
