Raymond Rangers (Raymond, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Battle Ground Academy Wildcats (Franklin, TN), 50-43 in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Rangers face the Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 16. Raymond will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Blue Waves enter the game with a 6-4 record after their 46-14 non-league win over Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS).
With the defeat, Battle Ground Academy moves to 2-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Rossville Christian Academy (Rossville, TN) to face the Wolves in a non-league game on Thursday, December 28. The Wolves enter the game with a record of 16-1.
