Chavez Titans (Stockton, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Stone Ridge Christian Knights (Merced, CA), 36-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chavez upgrades its record to 1-8 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Stagg (Stockton, CA) to play the Delta Kings in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Delta Kings come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Stagg won 47-38 in their recent non-league bout against Turlock (Turlock, CA)

Next up, the Knights play the Turlock Bulldogs (Turlock, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Stone Ridge Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 47-38 non-league loss to Stagg (Stockton, CA).
