Diamond Wildcats (Diamond, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting College Heights Christian Cougars (Joplin, MO), 54-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Diamond upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Liberal (Liberal, MO) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Liberal won 52-33 in their recent non-league bout against Columbus (Columbus, KS)

Next up, the Cougars play the Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. College Heights Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 56-46 non-league win over East Newton (Granby, MO).
