East Grand Rapids Pioneers (Grand Rapids, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wyoming Wolves (Wyoming, MI), 53-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Grand Rapids upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Reeths-Puffer (Muskegon, MI) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Reeths-Puffer lost 57-15 in their recent non-league bout against West Ottawa (Holland, MI)

Next up, the Wolves play the Kelloggsville Rockets (Wyoming, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Wyoming will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 53-46 non-league win over Tri-Unity Christian (Wyoming, MI).
