The Merritt Oilers basketball team scored 84 points and restricted the host Hinton Comets to 34 in the Oilers non-league victory on Friday.
The Oilers now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Byng for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Merritt will battle a Pirates team coming off a 44-38 non-league loss to North Rock Creek (Shawnee, OK). The Pirates record now stands at 5-4.
The Comets (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Binger-Oney (Binger, OK). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record.
