The Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX), 40-35 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Farwell (Farwell, TX). The Steers go into the 2A Region I District 3 test with a 13-2 record.
The Eagles now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Portales for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. Lubbock Christian will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 57-41 non-league loss to Dulce (Dulce, NM). The Rams record now stands at 4-2.
