The Marion County Mustangs basketball team (Philadelphia, MO), was nudged 34-31 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Scotland County Tigers (Memphis, MO)
The Tigers now possess a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fayette for a Lewis & Clark battle on Monday, December 18. Scotland County will confront a Falcons team coming off a 78-28 non-league win over Slater (Slater, MO). The Falcons record now stands at 6-2.
The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against La Plata (La Plata, MO). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, La Plata edged Marceline (Marceline, MO), 59-45, in a non-league battle.
