Mayflower Eagles (Mayflower, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Shirley Blue Devils (Shirley, AR), 65-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mayflower upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Bald Knob won 66-47 in their recent league bout against Pangburn (Pangburn, AR)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR) in a 1A Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 5. Shirley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
