Mid-Buchanan Dragons (Faucett, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Penney Hornets (Hamilton, MO), 58-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Mid-Buchanan upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Dragons host Savannah (Savannah, MO) to play the Savages in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Savages go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Savannah lost 56-34 in their recent non-league bout against East Buchanan (Gower, MO)

Next up, the Hornets play the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Penney will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Minutemen go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 46-31 non-league loss to Wellington-Napoleon (Wellington, MO).
