Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears (Merion Station, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Agnes Irwin Owls (Rosemont, PA), 25-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Merion Mercy Academy upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Golden Bears travel to Gwynedd Mercy Academy (Gwynedd Valley, PA) to play the Monarchs in a bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Gwynedd Mercy Academy lost 51-27 in their recent non-league bout against Methacton (Norristown, PA)

Next up, the Owls play the Springside (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Agnes Irwin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
