Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC), 29-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oak Grove upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to play the Blue Comets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Blue Comets go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Asheboro lost 23-20 in their recent non-league bout against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Villains play the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Bishop McGuinness will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 45-22 non-league win over East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC).
