Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX), 87-5 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canyon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host Carrizo Springs (Carrizo Springs, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Unicorns play the Regents Knights (Austin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. New Braunfels will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
