Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Irvine Vaqueros (Irvine, CA) and the visiting Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA), saw Irvine's basketball squad wallop Whitney by a count of 57-23.

With the victory, Irvine upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Vaqueros travel to University (Irvine, CA) to play the Trojans in a challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Los Amigos Lobos (Fountain Valley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 20. Whitney will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
