North Carolina High School Basketball - Triton nudges Smithfield-Selma

In Friday's non-league outing, the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) basketball squad edged the host Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), by a margin of 56-54.

The Hawks (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers go into the non-league outing with a 4-4 record.

The Spartans now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to South Johnston for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Smithfield-Selma will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 77-36 non-league win over Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-3.
