The Byron Bears basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Faribault Falcons to 47 in the Bears league triumph on Monday.

The Bears now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Century for a non-league game on Thursday, December 18. Byron will confront a Panthers team coming off a 68-52 non-league win over Mankato East (Mankato, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Faribault falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Owatonna (Owatonna, MN) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Thursday, December 18. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 7-1. Owatonna won 76-63 in their recent non-league outing against Austin (Austin, MN)
