The Southmoreland Scotties basketball squad (Alverton, PA), was crushed 74-46 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA)

With the victory, Central Valley advances its record to 6-0 on the year. The Warriors travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to battle the Bobcats in a WPIAL 4A 2 challenge on Friday, December 19. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Beaver lost 58-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Hickory (Hermitage, PA)

In their next game, the Scotties battle the Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 4 challenge, on Friday, December 19. Southmoreland will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record.
