Indiana High School Basketball - Jay County knocks off New Castle

December 15, 2025: New Castle, IN 47362

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) and the host New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), observed Jay County's basketball team overcome New Castle by a margin of 58-41.

The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Delta (Muncie, IN). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Delta lost by Lapel (Lapel, IN), 67-47, in a non-league match.

The Trojans now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Palestine for a Hoosier Heritage match on Friday, December 19. New Castle will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 84-70 league win over Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 3-1.
