    In Thursday's non-league outing, the Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL) basketball squad felled the visiting Ramsay Rams (Birmingham, AL), by a margin of 56-47.

    The Golden Gophers (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Spain Park (Hoover, AL). The Jaguars go into the non-league outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Spain Park thwarted Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL), 57-54, in a non-league outing.

    The Rams now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Jackson-Olin for a non-league outing on Friday, December 17. Ramsay will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 66-48 non-league win over Cleveland (Cleveland, AL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-5.
