Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX) and the host Blum Bobcats (Blum, TX), saw Abbott's basketball squad wallop Blum by a tally of 48-25.

With the victory, Abbott improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cranfills Gap (Cranfills Gap, TX) to confront the Lions in a 1A Region IV District 25 challenge on Monday, December 19. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Cranfills Gap lost 91-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Meridian (Meridian, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Covington Owls (Covington, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Blum will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
