Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Brownwood Lions (Brownwood, TX), 88-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Abilene upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to play the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Plainsmen come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Monterey lost 49-42 in their recent non-league bout against Amarillo (Amarillo, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Brownwood will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record.
