The Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) basketball nipped the host Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX), 49-45 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bearcats (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX). The Rough Riders go into the 5A Region I District 5 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Saginaw was tipped by Haltom (Haltom City, TX), 84-46, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Polytechnic for a 5A Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, December 20. Everman will encounter a Parrots squad coming off a 57-49 non-league loss to Carter-Riverside (Fort Worth, TX). The Parrots record now stands at 2-10.
