Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), 74-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Animas upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mountainair (Mountainair, NM) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Mountainair won 45-36 in their recent non-league bout against Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM)

Next up, the Eagles play the Lake Arthur Panthers (Lake Arthur, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Hondo Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
