The Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Scarborough Spartans (Houston, TX), 80-60 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (3-6) will now prepare for their test against North Forest (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, North Forest notched a victory over Scarborough (Houston, TX), 86-67, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Wheatley for a 4A Region III District 21 test on Monday, December 19. Scarborough will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 91-57 league win over Alvin (Alvin, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-3.
