The Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX) basketball felled the host Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), 57-44 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cubs (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Bobcats go into the 3A Region I District 3 test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Dimmitt thwarted Tulia (Tulia, TX), 68-44, in a non-league test.
The Steers now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Idalou for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 20. Big Spring will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 43-40 non-league win over Saint Jo (Saint Jo, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-6.
