Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Boswell Pioneers (Fort Worth, TX), 72-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grapevine upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Ryan (Denton, TX) to play the Raiders in a 5A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Ryan won 63-51 in their recent non-league bout against Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, TX)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Trinity Trojans (Euless, TX) in a 6A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Boswell will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 57-55 non-league loss to The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX).
