In Friday's non-league outing, the Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) basketball squad nipped the visiting Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX), by a margin of 50-43.
The Volunteers (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Sam Houston (Arlington, TX). The Texans go into the 6A Region I District 8 outing with a 11-6 record. In their last outing, Sam Houston got by North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX), 51-46, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now own a 12-3 record. They play next when they host Mansfield Legacy for a 6A Region II District 11 outing on Tuesday, December 20. Mansfield will clash with a Broncos squad coming off a 75-67 non-league win over Horn (Mesquite, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 12-2.
