Virginia High School Basketball - James Monroe crushes Boys' Home

December 16, 2022: Covington, VA 24426

James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Boys' Home Hilltoppers (Covington, VA), 73-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, James Monroe upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Alleghany (Covington, VA) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Alleghany won 58-31 in their recent non-league bout against Covington (Covington, VA)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Boys' Home will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
