West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Colony Knights (Palmer, AK), 78-76 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Anchorage upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Doherty (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Doherty won 57-39 in their recent non-league bout against South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Knights play the Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Colony will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 54-34 non-league loss to Wasilla (Wasilla, AK).
