The Lanier Christian Academy Lightning basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Dawson Christian Academy Eagles to 71 in the Lightning non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lightning now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peachtree Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lanier Christian Academy will battle a Panthers team coming off a 85-52 non-league loss to Central Christian (Sharpsburg, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.
The Eagles (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Maranatha Christian Academy (Oakwood, GA). The enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Maranatha Christian Academy ran past Trinity Classical (Clarkesville, GA), 63-47, in a non-league contest.
