The Valley Heights Mustangs (Blue Rapids, KS) basketball felled the host Doniphan West Mustangs (Highland, KS), 60-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Washington County (Washington, KS). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Washington County went down by Centralia (Centralia, KS), 62-27, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Valley Falls for a non-league test on Monday, December 19. Doniphan West will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 50-41 non-league loss to Atchison County (Effingham, KS). The Dragons record now stands at 3-1.
