With the win, Gunter upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Tigers host Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Blue Ridge won 65-52 in their recent non-league bout against Collinsville (Collinsville, TX)

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the Forestburg Longhorns (Forestburg, TX) in a 1A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Slidell will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 66-50 non-league loss to Bryson (Bryson, TX).
