St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX), 63-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. Joseph Academy upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bloodhounds host Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 13-9.

Next up, the Cardinals play the United South Panthers (Laredo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Harlingen will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 46-39 non-league win over Palmview (La Joya, TX).
