Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA), 54-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hathaway upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Bell City (Bell City, LA) to clash with the Bruins in a B District 6 bout on Saturday, December 17. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Bell City lost 59-57 in their recent non-league bout against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) in a 2A District 5 bout, on Saturday, December 17. Lake Arthur will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 86-83 non-league win over Pickering (Leesville, LA).
