Texas High School Basketball - The Colony nips Independence

December 16, 2022: The Colony, TX 75056

The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, The Colony upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Creekview (Carrollton, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Creekview lost 67-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Ranchview (Irving, TX)

Next up, the Knights confront the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Independence will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Trail Blazers come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 89-55 non-league win over Dallas HSAA (Plano, TX).
