Georgia High School Basketball - South Effingham trounces Islands

December 16, 2022: Savannah, GA 31410

The South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) basketball crushed the host Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), 62-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Statesboro (Statesboro, GA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Statesboro walloped Jenkins (Savannah, GA), 39-34, in a league test.

The Sharks now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Savannah for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 20. Islands will encounter a Bluejackets squad coming off a 72-65 non-league win over McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Bluejackets record now stands at 7-3.

South Effingham
