In Friday's non-league outing, the Paint Branch Panthers (Burtonsville, MD) basketball squad felled the visiting Kennedy Cavaliers (Silver Spring, MD), by a margin of 70-62.

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD). The Warriors go into the Montgomery 4A East outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Sherwood thwarted Magruder (Rockville, MD), 68-57, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
