Mather Rangers (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lake View Wildcats (Chicago, IL), 63-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Mather upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Rangers travel to Leyden (Franklin Park, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Leyden lost 70-54 in their recent league challenge against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 19. Lake View will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 55-23 non-league win over Southland College Prep (Matteson, IL).
