The Whitney Wildcats basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Lampasas Badgers to 52 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host West for a 3A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, December 20. Whitney will battle a Trojans team coming off a 69-38 non-league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 0-7.
The Badgers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Hamilton, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Hamilton ran past Bangs (Bangs, TX), 65-39, in a non-league contest.
