Latta Panthers (Ada, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Stonewall Longhorns (Stonewall, OK), 40-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Latta upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Byng (Ada, OK) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Longhorns play the Roff Tigers (Roff, OK) in a Pontotoc bout, on Friday, January 13. Stonewall will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
