With the win, Lawrence upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Lions host Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS) to play the Cougars in a Sunflower bout on Friday, January 6. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Shawnee Mission Northwest lost 57-54 in their recent non-league bout against McPherson (McPherson, KS)

Next up, the Lancers play the Olathe Northwest Ravens (Olathe, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Shawnee Mission East will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Ravens go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 56-24 non-league loss to Shawnee Mission South (Shawnee Mission, KS).
