Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC), 61-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ledford upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Panthers host Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Spartans in a 3A Conference 47 bout on Friday, January 6. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-1.

Next up, the Patriots play the East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Providence Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record.
