The Wayne County Cardinals basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Mercer County Titans to 53 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scott for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Wayne County will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 52-44 league loss to Clinton (Clinton, TN). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-9.

The Titans (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Engineers enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Estill County triumphed over Landrum (Landrum, SC), 56-53, in a non-league contest.
