The Northwest Texans basketball team (Justin, TX), was overwhelmed 64-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Midway Panthers (Waco, TX)
The Panthers now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Temple for a 6A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, December 20. Midway will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 53-48 non-league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-6.
The Texans (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Bears come into the 5A Region I District 5 battle with a 14-2 record. In their last battle, Brewer trounced Weatherford (Weatherford, TX), 63-37, in a non-league battle.
