Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Vernonia Loggers (Vernonia, OR), 60-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Western Christian upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Pioneers host Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Santiam Christian lost 57-50 in their recent non-league bout against Westside Christian (Lake Oswego, OR)

Next up, the Loggers clash with the Nestucca Bobcats (Cloverdale, OR) in a 2A Northwest bout, on Thursday, January 12. Vernonia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
