Texas High School Basketball - Wharton nudges Victoria East

In Friday's non-league outing, the Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX) basketball squad nipped the visiting Victoria East Titans (Victoria, TX), by a margin of 57-55.

The Tigers (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Roughnecks go into the non-league outing with a 6-8 record. In their last outing, Columbia got by Sweeny (Sweeny, TX), 48-46, in a league outing.

The Titans now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Flour Bluff for a non-league outing on Monday, December 19. Victoria East will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 67-63 non-league loss to Bishop (Bishop, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 11-6.
