Arizona High School Basketball - Sahuaro trounces Chaparral

The Sahuaro Cougars (Tucson, AZ) basketball crushed the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), 59-15 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cougars (12-0) will now prepare for their test against Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Buckeye walloped Independence (Glendale, AZ), 72-18, in a league test.

The Firebirds now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Williams Field for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 4. Chaparral will encounter a Black Hawks squad coming off a 50-23 non-league win over Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Black Hawks record now stands at 4-1.
